Description

Clr.fund is a permissionless and trust-minimized quadratic funding protocol designed specifically for the Ethereum ecosystem. It enables efficient allocation of funds to public goods that benefit the Ethereum network according to the preferences of the Ethereum community. The protocol uses Minimal Anti-Collusion Infrastructure (MACI) with zk-SNARKs to protect against bribery and collusion, while employing BrightID or similar identity systems to prevent Sybil attacks.

Clr.fund runs a continuous sequence of quadratic funding rounds where anyone can add public goods projects as funding recipients, contribute funds to matching pools, and allocate funds to individual recipients. Compared to traditional grants from entities like the Ethereum Foundation, clr.fund is more accessible, offers faster turnaround between voting and funding, and enables projects to receive funding more directly. The protocol has completed multiple funding rounds, including significant rounds with ETHStaker (440k USD) and ETH Colombia (292k USD), establishing itself as a leading infrastructure for decentralized public goods funding.
