Description

r3.0 (Redesign for Resilience & Regeneration) is a global common good not-for-profit platform founded in 2013 that crowdsources open recommendations for necessary transformations across diverse fields and sectors. In response to ecological and social collapses, r3.0 mobilizes networks of leaders from business, investment, civil society, government, and academia to design and implement systemic changes toward a thriving, regenerative, and distributive economy and society.

The organization's work centers on nine Blueprints addressing critical areas including reporting, accounting, data, new business models, transformation, sustainable finance, value cycles, educational transformation, and funding governance. Led by internationally recognized experts like Bill Baue (Senior Director), r3.0 applies the Sustainability Context Principle—which ensures organizational practices respect ecological, social, and economic thresholds at macro systems levels. The platform operates through crowdsourced expert inputs, piloting programs to prove viability, and scaling initiatives through dissemination and solutions building.

As of 2024, r3.0 repositioned itself to serve "collapse resilience" strategies in bioregioning, while maintaining over 150 partner organizations globally through its Advocacy Partner Program and Academic Alliance. The organization proposes frameworks including the nine Disclosure Principles of a Regenerative & Distributive Economy and advocates for establishment of a Global Thresholds & Allocations Commons to create authoritative approaches to measuring economic, environmental, and social performance.
